We booked a tour today to visit the floating market and Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of the Siamese kingdom, and it was absolutely fantastic — except for the unbearable heat! Our guide, Ratima, was incredibly attentive throughout the entire day, explaining the history behind every place we visited and patiently answering all our questions. She was a top-notch guide and made the whole experience truly extraordinary. Without a doubt, 100% recommended!

L'escursione al mercato sui binari di Maeklong, al mercato galleggiante di Damnoen Saduak e al Parco Storico di Ayutthaya è stata molto suggestiva. La nostra guida Ratima era molto simpatica e sempre presente. Tour puntuale e ben organizzato anche se in alcuni momenti molto frenetico per via delle molte tappe da visitare. Le barche colorate del mercato galleggiante sono uno spettacolo unico. Ayutthaya, con le sue rovine UNESCO, è incantevole. Un mix di cultura e tradizione, consigliato! Mucho tiempo en furgoneta y nada de tiempo libre para ver nada por tu cuenta.... Todo muy organizado para que compres y gastes. El conductor de la furgoneta muy brusco al conducir y hizo un viaje incómodo. Los sitios visitados bonitos pero poco tiempo para disfrutarlos.

Los guías hacen lo posible por respetar los tiempos de la visita realizando el recorrido al completo y proveyendo todas las explicaciones necesarias. Aun así, sentimos si el ritmo seguido resultó acelerado. Ya hemos tomado nota de los comentarios para seguir mejorando.

It was a very hot day. Thank heavens for the air conditioned car. It was also a long day starting at 7 a.m. The problem I found was that our guide spent her time in the car talking to the driver and not to us. There was plenty she could have told us about, and we were in the car for 3+ hours. What she did tell us was very good and she is clearly knowledeable. Her english was pretty good and she encouraged us to ask questions if we didn’t understand her.

I will recommend this tour if you are staying 3 days in Bangkok or more and you want to do something a bit different. Very easy as well, they pick you up at the hotel and drop you off there later. It starts early which is good because you visit the railway market before it gets crowded and the experience is nice. Floating market was good as well. Lunch spot in Ayutthaya was great a small Thai family restaurant with great prices, in front of the reclining buda.
