MahaNakhon - The tallest skyscraper in Thailand
MahaNakhon

At 314 meters (1,030 feet) tall and with spectacular, pixelated architecture, the MahaNakhon is the tallest building in Thailand and the most distinctive building in Bangkok.

Thailand's Tallest Building

The design of the building is the brainchild of the German architect Ole Scheeren, who also had a hand in the creation of the singular Beijing radio-television tower.

This avant-garde building, with its pixellated design, was inaugurated in 2016, following a five-year-long construction process. At 314 meters (1,030 feet) tall, the King Power Mahanakhon is the tallest building in the country, beating the 204-meter-tall (670-foot) Baiyoke tower.

The tower contains more than 200 apartments, a hotel with more than 150 rooms, various luxury shops, bars, restaurants, and of course, a spectacular viewing platform.

Mahanakhon SkyWalk

As well as its height, the MahaNakhon tower also is home to one of the most impressive viewpoints in the world, the MahaNakhon SkyWalk.

The platform occupies the upper floors of the building, including the rooftop itself. This rooftop offers unbeatable views of one of the world's most vibrant cities and is home to the skywalk bar, the perfect place to enjoy Thai nightlife.

For the bravest, the rooftop has a section with a glass floor, and although with some other buildings, this trick can be a little disappointing, in this case, it's the real deal!

An absolute must-see

Having visited hundreds of skyscrapers all over the world, it's safe to say that this one is not only one of the best in Bangkok, but one of the best in the world, if not the best.

The SkyWalk viewpoint is the very image of modern Bangkok, something you notice from the very outset, with the digital experience of screens in the elevator during the 50-second express ride.

Unmissable. Get your ticket here.
